Website Optimization Tips for B2B Marketers

We haven’t discussed search engine optimisation on this blog to date, but I stumbled across this useful article on Ask Enquiro.com which details 10 key areas that business to business marketeers should take into consideration if you want to take a look at it here is the link - Top Ten Web Optimisation Tips .  We have certainly inceased our website and search engine knowledge in the past 12 months and it has been worth it and we have seen our website appear for certain search terms in Google. For example if you type in “marketing company leeds” we are on the first page on on Google. All of which has been acheived by us putting in some throught into our key words and how we have designed our site for the search engines.

One area that has certainly helped us which is mentioned in the Ask Enquiro.com article is the use of an XML site map which we submitted to Google Webmaster Tools and lets Google know about all the pages on our site. What’s more if you use an XML site map it will be automatically updated each time you add some new content to your site.

Another area is making sure that we update the content regulary on our site, having a blog on our website has helped as we update this most days. However, we also add new articles and news regularly to our main site so that when Google visits it has something new to find and index.

If you want to find out more about search engine optimisation then you might want to take a look at John Alexander’s website and sign up for his SEO tip of the day - www.searchengineworkshops.com/seo-tip-of-the-day.html he gives you really useful tips that will help you make the most of your website.
